Citylink opened a new store of household appliances and electronics in Moscow
The federal electronic discounter of electronics and household appliances “Citylink” has opened a new terminal trade store in Moscow, located at: st. Prishvina, d. 26 in the building of the trade and exhibition complex “Million Little Things”, ground floor (m. Bibirevo). The new retail store is the sixth in the Moscow market and will replace Citylink in Medvedkovo, which is closed for reasons beyond the company’s control (building reconstruction).
Another outlet of the company is developing the model of full-format e-commerce centers “Citylink”, which are stores-warehouses without the usual shelves and display of goods. Only 20% of the area here is occupied by a service area with electronic terminals through which customers place an order, and about 80% of the store area is occupied by a warehouse, which ensures high availability of goods for purchase on a “here and now” basis. Thanks to this approach, the inventory of Citylink store is several times higher than the inventory of any traditional retail store.
“At present, our retail network has 50 stores of this format in 40 cities of Russia, and such trading platforms have a number of advantages over traditional stores,” says Alexander Lozovsky, director of the Citylink retail chain. – Firstly, it is a wide assortment due to the ability to put much more goods per unit area than in classic retail. As a result, we can offer our customers about 10 thousand items of various household appliances and electronics from more than 700 leading brands. Secondly, various forms of ordering goods are available in our stores. You can place an order at any convenient time online from home, from a mobile device or directly in the trading floor using the terminal, and in exactly 3-5 minutes the order will be ready for delivery. Those goods that are available at the central distribution warehouse in the Moscow region (and this is more than 50 thousand names of computer digital, household and garden equipment, office furniture and other product categories) can be obtained in the store the next day. With the launch of a new trading platform, we have become closer to the buyer – and this is the most important thing for us “.
A distinctive feature of Citylink stores is not only a wide range of equipment, but also low prices, which the retailer manages to keep thanks to direct deliveries from leading manufacturers, maximum automation of business processes and reduction of logistics costs. In addition to its own storage facilities, Citylink has access to the largest warehouse of equipment in Russia – the warehouse of the country’s largest distributor MERLION, which has distribution centers in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk. In addition, the company has its own delivery service, and for this reason, Citylink does not use the services of third-party courier companies. The buyer always receives the goods from the hands of a Citylink employee. Therefore, all issues related to delivery are resolved quickly and easily.
As always, during the opening days of a new full-format store, Citylink has set special low prices for a range of goods. When making a purchase, all customers are given a discounter club card as a gift, which allows them to accumulate bonuses and pay with them. Store visitors have the opportunity to purchase at special low prices most of the goods of the federal network, including an ACER Aspire laptop for 9,990 rubles, a PRESTIGIO MultiPad Visconte tablet for 5,990 rubles, a 32-inch LED TV DIGMA for 7,990 rubles and a lot others. In addition, for three days – from May 25 to May 27 inclusive – there is a popular action “1000 goods per ruble”. Under the terms of the promotion, purchasing goods for an amount of 1000 rubles or more, you can get the second from the specified list for just 1 ruble. The full range of available products can be found both in the store’s sales area and on the citilink website.ru.
The electronic discounter “Citylink” has been operating in the Russian market for the tenth year and is one of the largest online retailers in the Russian Federation. The turnover of the network at the end of 20021 amounted to 60.1 billion rubles, which is 35% more than in the previous year. At the moment, the geography of the retail network “Citylink” covers the Central, Volga, North-West, North-Caucasian, Siberian, Ural and Southern federal districts. The retailer’s outlets are represented in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Belgorod, Volgograd, Volzhsky, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo, Izhevsk, Kazan, Kirov, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Magnitogorsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Novosibirsk , Penza, Perm, Samara, Saratov, Stavropol, Togliatti, Tula, Tyumen, Ufa, Cheboksary, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Tagil, Novorossiysk, Ulyanovsk, Pyatigorsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Sochi, Kemerovo and Tver. In the near future the company plans to open new stores in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Krasnodar.
