The initial public offering (IPO) of the social network Facebook will take place today and some details of its holding are already known. The offer price on the NASDAQ exchange for one Facebook share will be $ 38. Recall that on the eve of the IPO, the company changed the price range of the offered shares several times. First, it offered a range from $ 28 to $ 35 per share, then it announced an increase in the price range to $ 34 – $ 38.

At a price of $ 38 per share, the market value of the social network will be $ 104.12 billion, and as a result of the IPO an amount of $ 16.01 billion will be raised, including $ 6.84 billion for the social network, $ 9.17 billion will be received by investors.

A total of 421.2 million shares will be offered for sale under the ticker FB. We add that the company reserved the right to put up for sale 484.4 million due to the additional number of Class A shares (which is likely to happen). In this case, the amount of funds raised will grow to $ 18.41 billion.

As previously reported, 180 million shares are offered directly by Facebook. Investors’ plans for the sale of shares are as follows:

  • Zynga CEO Mark Pincus: 1.01 million shares, remaining about 4.30 million shares;
  • Meritech Capital Partners: 7.00 mln shares, about 29.66 mln shares will remain;
  • Microsoft: 6.56 million shares, with about 26.23 million shares remaining
  • Reid Hoffman: 942 thousand. shares, there will be about 3.77 million shares;
  • Tiger Global Management: 23.41 million shares, will remain about 60.43 million shares.

Other investors including T. Rowe Price, Andreessen Horowitz, Sean Parker and Dustin Moskovitz Decide Not to Sell Existing Facebook Shares.
