Intel has lag again: 14nm Rocket Lake-S desktop processors will not be released until March

At the quarterly reporting conference at the end of July, Intel admitted that it will introduce 10nm Alder Lake processors in the second half of next year, but not much is known about the fate of their predecessors, the Rocket Lake family. They will be compatible with existing boards with an LGA 1200 socket, but the announcement may be delayed until March 2021.

With calls not to count on the announcement of Rocket Lake-S processors at the end of this year or next January, the popular resource VideoCardz made a speech. According to the primary source, Intel has shifted the announcement of this family of processors to March 2021. In addition, it is reported that the debut of Intel 500 series chipsets will be timed to the release of these processors, although in many motherboards based on 400 series chipsets, Rocket Lake-S processors will be able to work after a BIOS update.
