GeForce RTX 3060 Ti almost caught up with Radeon RX 6800 in Geekbench OpenCL test
Geekbench has updated the performance rating of graphics accelerators in the OpenCL environment, which usually happens around the same time when new graphics cards are announced. The database has been replenished with a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti model, the launch of which will take place in a couple of days.
Earlier it became known that NVIDIA is considering the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti as a more productive alternative to the GeForce RTX 2080 Super, which was reflected in the company’s graphics leaked to the Network. This data, in turn, was recently confirmed by synthetic benchmarks 3DMark TimeSpy and Firestrike. In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was slightly faster in the Ashes of the Singularity gaming test.
The Geekbench team has not yet updated the CUDA and Vulkan performance ratings, so the comparison is only done in the OpenCL benchmark. AMD’s Radeon RX 6800 with Navi 21 XL GPU is just 0.6% faster than GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, according to the latest data. This difference can be attributed to an error and, most likely, it will change soon after the first official reviews of the new NVIDIA video card begin to appear and users will be able to purchase it.
The performance of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in Geekbench was reported last week. Then the result was not much different from the current officially announced by the Geekbench database. However, the official Geekbench is always based on at least five independent tests of the graphics accelerator, and not on one, as was the case in the last leak.
Reviews on the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in the Founders Edition reference performance to begin publishing tomorrow. Non-reference samples will appear a day later. The new product is still predicted with a recommended price of $ 399.
